Finding the new normal

Looking beyond the Coronavirus pandemic and discovering new opportunities

With the Coronavirus still imposing a real threat to people's health and safety, we are carrying out our business with due care, following the prevailing government guidelines, and using our common sense. We were able to respond quickly to the Coronavirus outbreak in the first place and ensured that most of our office staff could work effectively from home while our production team kept our operations going. Our Head Quarters have welcomed back our excellent employees. At the same time, we have also accommodated a new normal, which allows more flexibility for our employees but also demands more compliance to ensure that we stay safe.

Essential business traveling

The Danish government has along with most other European countries, made important steps in allowing business travels within Europe. This will enable us to start servicing our customers in Europe.

Similarly, we are making good use of having local representations in Turkey, Germany, and the US while we look forward to seeing the rest of our customers around the world whom we hope soon to be able to see again. Meanwhile, we are, of course, ready to assist with the use of our remote digital tools.

Discovering new opportunities

While we are seeing business opportunities being postponed pending clarity on the future consequences of the Coronavirus outbreak, our Aftersales and Service team are busier than ever supporting our customers. We are pleased that our production and supply chain has proven its strength and been running with minimal disruption. Our suppliers and teams involved deserve a lot of credit for how they have managed to adapt very quickly to the situation.

These circumstances have triggered the implementation of a number of new creative ideas and to fast forward our digital journey. In the past three months, Aasted has tested and launched several digital services that aim to increase our customers' productivity and support our sustainable journey. Amongst others, these include services such as Virtual FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), Virtual Installation, Virtual test in Aasted Technology Center, and Virtual Commissioning of the various Aasted solutions. Our 24/7 service team now offers virtual support and immediate remote troubleshooting by utilizing the latest IOT technology and augmented reality. In the coming months, we will further expand these services, and we are looking forward to working closely with our customers in getting the most out of what the technology offers.

Preparing for tomorrow

The consequences of the global COVID-19 pandemic are severe and will impact our industry for the years to come. It is, however, encouraging to see how our colleagues have stepped up to the challenge allowing us to pursue the opportunities that now lie in front of us.

We have been around for more than 100 years, and while the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly changed the way we work and our priorities for the near future, our long-term plans have not, and we will continue to develop Aasted in an innovative, digital and sustainable direction.
