The Nielsen Cooling Tunnel SD – Sanitary Design is developed and designed for use in production areas and industries with very high requirements to the equipment design in order to obtain the highest degree of hygiene.
The Nielsen Cooling Tunnel SD is very energy efficient and a more safe choice for the environment. An important feature is the cooling compressor housing, which is designed for easy and fast cleaning.
This cooling tunnel has a variety of technical features, specified below:
- Hinged bottom plates for opening of tunnel for profound cleaning of the inside
- Easy cleaning and maintenance as all air guiding plates, supporting plates for the belt and shaft can be taken out of the cooling tunnel without the use of tools, for profound wash down and cleaning of any part or area in the tunnel.
- All parts are made in stainless steel and are fully washable
Furthermore this cooling tunnel is a modular solution, giving us the opportunity to combine a range of sizes, features and cooling elements to suit any application – from fragile filled chocolates and crème products to bars and coated biscuits. Radiation and convection cooling, as well as conduction cooling is optional.
The airflow, insulation and cooling cover design ensure a consistent temperature across the entire bandwidth. The band is a FDA approved band in high quality.
The cooling units contain a built-in semihermetic air-cooled or water-cooled, compressor, an evaporator and an air recirculation fan.
