Aasted in Turkey

Turkey is a vast country undergoing huge developments within many fields. One of the fields growing and developing progressively and constantly is the manufacturing industry of chocolate and bakery. Within recent years the chocolate and bakery industry has experienced growing demand and thereby caused an increased production. The growing demand is particularly based on the extensive and ever growing domestic market, and in parallel Turkey is also becoming leader in supplying confectionary products to the neighbor countries especially in Asia and Middle East. This is resulting in a business of great potential today.
Since decades Aasted has become well- known throughout the world by creating and developing machines of high quality and offering the customers the perfect support, thereby allowing customers to develop the best products. Thus Aasted has established itself as a reliable company, always supporting the customers in the best possible way – before and after the machinery has been delivered.
Aasted has acknowledged the necessity of establishing a closer contact to their customers to obtain a greater market share in Turkey. To establish this contact Aasted has found that visibility and physical presence are vital factors. After a longer process of hard investigatory work Aasted thus decided in 2010 to found an Aasted department in Turkey. This decision has resulted in the establishment of Aasted Turkey’s offices in Istanbul.
The growing interest from the Turkish customers, however, has lead to an on-going increase in the sale of machinery. This has created more activities, and in that connection Aasted has decided to expand the Turkish department and employ more staff. Consequently Aasted plans to have in Turkey an efficient technical team with talented skills, who will be contributing to a close cooperation between Aasted and the Turkish customers.
Sabit Caglar, General Manager- Aasted Turkey and Fehmi Balci, Area Sales Manager say the following about the year 2011:
"The food sector, in which we operate, has in 2011 been marked by serious, dynamic and active projects. In 2011 being our first year as part of this sector, we have made an intense effort to achieve the biggest possible part of these projects. In the main part of these projects we have succesfully attempted to be present as a reliable, alternative supplier. We predict that through the comming years these projects will continue to increase. We still have a long way for us to go and still much to achieve.
